Taskin waiting for Test debut
Tuesday, 28 February 2017
Last year there was a rumor of Taskin's Test debut in the home ground against England. But Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) did not walk in that way.
The board gave Taskin Ahmed a little more time due to injuries. The wait of this speed star may end this time. He may debut in the test in this New Zealand tour. Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu gave the tigers this hint.
Taskin Ahmed may be very effective in grassy wicket in New Zealand’s condition. He has natural speed. He can also swing and can get bounce from the wicket. Considering these factors chief selector has given an indication to take this right handed bowler in the test team. In the meantime, selectors have prepared Test squad consisting of 17 members. Now they are waiting for the permission of the Board President.
Meanwhile, regular captain Mushfiqur Rahim recovered from injury to return to the Test side. He has already started training.
About Mushfiq’s return in the team Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, “We hope that Mushfiq will be completely alright before the first Test. There is still one week to go. Right now most of his problems are solved. He has been practicing batting in the net with the red ball for three days. So we believe that if any new problem is not arrived, Mushfiq will be in the team. And he will also lead the side.”
Earlier in the first one day against New Zealand, Mushfiq fell into hamstring injury while taking run. For this reason this wicket keeper-batsman was kept out from one day and t20 series.
