Kamal, B Cowdhury to organize rallies in 5 cities for Rohingya

Senior political leaders out of Awami League and BNP of the country announced programs to unit people protesting the mass murder of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. They announced to organize rallies in five sities around the country. Dr Kamal Hossain, Professor Dr Badruddoza Chowdhury and Bangabir Quader Siddique made the announcement together at a meeting in Engineering Institute Auditorium in the city on Thursday.
At the meeting, President of Bikalpa Dhara and former president Badruddoza Chowdhury said, "we will discuss the Rohingya problem with all the parties and intellectuals in the country. Then we will form a committee."
He said, "We want to organize rallie in five cities around the country. The last meeting will be in Chittagong. There we want to organize a rally of 10 lakh people."
It is estimated that 200,000 to 400,000 people are being pushed toward Bangladesh. Some are making it across. Others are not. There are reports of rape, murder and entire villages being burned to the ground.
The Bangladesh government is building a massive new camp nearby to shelter 400,000 people, but the UN says it will take time before it is equipped with tents, toilets and medical facilities.
Myanmar's government has come under fire by global leaders urging the country to address the crisis and condemn the military for attacks on the Rohingya, who are widely reviled as "Bengali" immigrants in Myanmar.
