Urmila stands beside Rohingya girls

Sanitary napkins for the girls were one of the frequently sought relief materials in the Rohingya camps, but the barriers between the male relief workers and the young girls could not be broken easily. Urmila Srabanti Kar stepped in this scenario to help the refugee girls.
The popular TV actress took part in campaign organized by Bidyananda Foundation to distribute sanitary napkins in the Rohingya camps on Monday.
Urmila reached Cox's Bazar on Sunday. From there she directly went to the makeshift kitchen of the organization. After cooking, packaging and loading relief materials in the cars she started for Rohingya camps. There she distributed talked with the young girls and distributed sanitary napkins among them. She was also involved in distributing khichuri among the Rohingyas.
In a note, the organization said, "We are not writing to buck up Urmila apu, as our volunteers worked much harder than she did. We are writing about it for the people established in different sectors of our society, who serve as role models for many people. Your hairstyles are being copied, as well as your good and bad habits. If you set an example of a good deed today, then may be tomorrow Bangladesh will see many people good works by your followers."
