Regent Airways to help carrying reliefs for Rohingya refugees

Regent Airways will provide facilities for carrying reliefs for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar. Primarily, Regent will give the assistance to carry the reliefs from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar. Regent has taken step to provide facilities for carrying reliefs for Rohingya refugees by the regular flight of Boeing 737.
"We want to be on the side of the helpless Rohingyas, who fled from their motherland Myanmar to save their lives. So, we have taken step to give the assistance to carry the reliefs from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar," said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Regent Airways Lieutenant General (Retd) M Fazle Akber.
He came up with the declaration while addressing a relief distribution function of the company.
"Non government organizations, volunteer organizations, any enterprises or person can take the facility of Regent to carry the reliefs from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar. Besides, Regent is ready to carry the reliefs of government organizations or donor agencies," Akber added.
In a press release, Regent Airways said it has been distributing reliefs among the Rohingyas in Ukhia and Teknaf in association with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
Regent has distributed 8 MT food and taka five lakh in cash among the helpless Rohingyas there. The officials and staffs of Regent also contributed in the relief activities.
