Teenager admitted to DMCH after playing Blue Whale Challenge

A ninth grader has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) when he got sick after taking sedative pills during playing Blue Whale Challenge. M Taufiq (17), a student of Saroj Internatoinal School and College, was admitted to DMCH on Wednesday night, confirmed In-Charge of DMCH police camp Bachchu Mia.

He said, "The boy's family sources confirmed that he was playing the Blue Whale Game. An injury was mark was found on his right arm. He was given plasma as he suffered heavy loss of blood."

The victim Taufiq told poriborton.com, "I started playing the game after receiving a link to play it. At one point I found it challenging. I liked new challenges."

"Sometimes the administrators of the game insulted me, so I overcame the challenges out of obstinacy. I felt seek when I was performing the challenges of the game."

Taufiq's father Mohammad Tanzil said, "Taufiq started playing that dangerous game while we were ignorant of it. After passing fourteen stages of the game he received directions for some tasks, following which he fell ill. We brought him to hospital after that."

Recently a schoolgirl named Apurba Bardhan Swarna in Central Road area in the city reportedly committed suicide after playing the Blue Whale Challenge.
