Child's hanging body found in deserted building in city

Police recovered the body of a child named Ruhi Karim from Matuail Institute of Child & Mother Health in the city around 2:30pm on Sunday. Earlier, around 12:00pm, her father found her neck tied with a lungi to the grille of a deserted house in Shamimbag Medical Road in Matuail and rushed her to hospital.
Ruhi was the daughter of Razaul Karim from Shoilabunia village in Golachipa of Patuakhali district.
Ruhi's uncle Rabiul Islam said she was student of play group in a local kindergarten. She went out to play around 10:00 am after returning from school on Sunday. When she did not return after an hour her family members started to look for her. Later, her father found her neck tied with a lungi to the grills of a deserted house in Shamimbag Medical Road in Matuail. When she was taken to Matuail Children Mother Health Institute, the duty doctor there declared her dead.
Sub Inspector of Kadamtali Police Station Akhter Hossain said, the body was recovered from hospital, upon receiving information from the locals. Alter it was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
One person was detained in connection with the incident.
