Twenty two trucks carrying relief materials from BNP were barred from reaching Rohingyas as they did not follow government regulations. A team led by BNP's standing committee member Mirza Abbas reached Cox's Bazar on Tuesday.

The trucks were parked in front of BNP office in Shaheed Minar after the BNP activists loaded the trucks throughout the night. Police too position around the trucks around 11am and seized the keys of the trucks.

Office Secretary of district unit of BNP Yusuf Badri said, the trucks carrying relief materials cannot go anywhere without the permission of police and administration.

He said senior BNP leaders and former members of parliament Shahjahan Chowdhury and Lutfar Rahman Kajal went to the Deputy Commissioner's office but he was out of the office premises.

Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissoner Ali Hossain told poriborton.com, "According to government's decision, relief cannot be distributed under the banners of individual persons. Those who want to distribute, have to coordinate with the administration."
